Executive Producer: Jay Hanley
Jay Hanley has Saratoga racetrack in his veins. Many of his fondest early memories are of being with his grandfather and parents at the track. He has owned many horses since he purchased his first thoroughbred for his father in 2009 and he has competed at the very pinnacle of the of the sport, owning generational talents Goodnight Olive and Lady Eli amongst a host of other Grade 1 winners.
Jay’s inspiration for wanting to make Off Track is simple: He realized that he couldn’t easily locate some of the horses that he had owned during their racing career, and this made him feel very uneasy. In his “spare” time Jay is an accomplished homebuilder and real estate developer on Nantucket island where he has imagined and created over 120 ultra-high-end residential properties since 2002. Prior to his work on Nantucket, Jay spent a number of years working in finance in San Francisco and New York. Jay received his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University and a graduate degree from Harvard University. When not working, Jay is happiest when helping those less fortunate than himself, utilizing his creativity, and, of course, when he spends time with his wife, Liz, and children Luke and Elle.
